Turlock Chamber of Commerce Ag Scholarship Eligibility Guidelines

Scholarships are made available for students who plan to major in agriculture in a California Community College or University and enrolling in at least one agriculture course.

Applicant Checklist

Awards are made on the basis of the following criteria:

Your interest—current and future—in agriculture
Your scholastic achievement, community involvement, and activities
Essay
Letter of recommendation

ELIGIBILITY

Graduating High School Seniors from Delhi, Denair, Hilmar, Hughson, Livingston, Pitman, Turlock Christian, Turlock, Waterford.

Funds will be awarded to full-time students majoring in agriculture in a California College or University
Enrolling in at least one agriculture course
Must attend a California Community College or University.
Community College or University must have an accredited Ag Department.
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Applicants are not guaranteed a scholarship just by applying

Deadline Date--WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2025
Luncheon Date--TUESDAY, MARCH 18, 2025.

Make certain that the CURRENT application for 2024 is complete.

Transcripts
References
Autobiography/Essay letter from applicant
Include one letter of recommendation with application
Submit three photo’s with application
Complete Application and Submit with other required documents

Chamber of Commerce Information

College/University class schedule presented by recipient. Make certain your name is on the class schedule
Check request to CPA done by Chamber
Check returned to Chamber for signatures.
Recipient will be notified either by phone/e-mail/mail that check is ready for pick-up. Entire process could take up to at least a week
Must have at least one Ag class on schedule.

DEADLINE

Applications must be returned no later than WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2025. Announcements of the awards will be at the Turlock Chamber of Commerce Ag Luncheon on TUESDAY, MARCH 18, 2025. Recipients, as well as other applicants, will receive notification by mail following the selection by the Ag Selection Committee prior to the Luncheon.
