Turlock
is located in the heart of California's Central Valley and
presents an ideal venue for a region-wide business summit.
The Central Valley bears great economic
promise but is not without its challenges.
The 2008 Central Valley Business
Leadership Summit will present an opportunity for the Valley's
business leaders to come together and engage in meaningful and
constructive conversation about the region's future.
The campus of California State University,
Stanislaus will provide a beautiful backdrop to
the day-long event, beginning with breakfast in
the exhibit hall.
Four topics will be covered during the two morning and
two afternoon sessions:
- The Central Valley's Economic Outlook
-
Business Benefits of “Tech-Knowledgeâ€
-
Impacts of Education and Generational Attitudes on
Workforce
-
Legislative Needs of the Valley
The lunch break will provide an opportunity for attending
business leaders to visit exhibits and network among themselves
while enjoying a noon-time repast.
In coordination with the Summit there will be a Business
Expo in the University gymnasium at which students will have the
opportunity to meet business leaders and learn about different
types of employment available in the Valley.
The Summit will close with an evening dinner and keynote
address by a well-known speaker.
On behalf of California State University, Stanislaus President
Hamid Shirvani and the Turlock Chamber of Commerce Board of
