Healthcare

Emanuel Medical Center has been the heart of healing in Turlock since 1917, dedicated to providing the best care possible for residents of Turlock and nearby communities.

Emanuel is a not-for-profit, community based Christian health care organization owned by the Evangelical Covenant Church. Emanuel’s main campus on Delbon Avenue includes a 209-bed acute-care hospital, a 145-bed skilled nursing facility and a 49-bed assisted living facility. But Emanuel is much more.

Emanuel provides a full range of health and hospitalization services, including: emergency and critical care, birthing, neonatal intensive care and pediatrics, imaging and laboratory services, medical and radiological oncology, cardiology, women’s health services, surgical and rehabilitation services, hospice, medical student education, community health education and spiritual support. Here are highlights of just a few of Emanuel’s services:

The Tower Health & Wellness Center was built to serve Turlock and the surrounding areas. Its focus is to support healthy lifestyles while enhancing the availability of the highest possible quality of care as a medical home. The Tower Health & Wellness Center also stands as a cornerstone to the healthcare delivery system’s infrastructure for the region. The Tower combines aesthetic beauty and medical services, symbolizing excellence in healthcare and promoting the benefits of healthy living.

Golden Valley Health Centers is a Joint Commission-accredited, private, non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center system serving the Central Valley of California with an operating budget of approximately $65 million. Through our community health centers, we provide comprehensive primary medical and dental care to an ethnically diverse population, including migrant and seasonal farm workers, Southeast Asian refugees, and the homeless population of Turlock. GVHC has developed a system of 21 clinical sites and 9 dental sites, including two free-standing Women's health centers, four school-based centers, and a homeless health care program.
